…king about how much better radio was when he was a kid making his musical and cultural discoveries. Because as a 14-year-old in 1984, my feeling was that radio — especially if you lived someplace that was within earshot of a moderately adventurous college station — was far from “Radio ga ga, radio goo goo.” Hell, I felt about it strongly enough that I’m writing 52 different articles about 1984 radio 40 years later.
