As a fellow eldest daughter I would say--as soon as you choose to take it? Much of what you've written here resonates, but also much of it feels like an inability to establish boundaries.

I realize I don't know you, but just from your writing I can see you're too smart/capable/competent to settle into a role others have set for you.
