I’ve received a total of about 450 emails from readers. My editor informed me that the piece had hit 2.3 million views as of last Sunday. I’m not sure what the total is now, maybe 3 million? Maybe 4? Viral stories tend to burn out and that’s okay with me. It’s been an incredibly intense and emotional week.
