Oh I 💯 agree with you—and also, I think it’s increasingly an expectation in a way it wasn’t before. So I can see how young women have grown up knowing this as a dominant norm. It’s my theory that this is why they’re seeking boy sobriety now—so that they know what THEY want, and so they’re better able to have the kinds of conversations you (and I) are able to have after their boysober period ends.
