Thanks for sharing. This is part of the intent of PHAP—to share insights like this. I agree, Nico also seems to genuinely not care any longer, and it’s interesting to me.

It’s hard to discuss because the topic is so heated, but of the kids who all changed names and pronouns alongside Nico back in 2021, I’ve seen quite a few fade away from caring about it. And I think that’s…. Normal. They’re kids. They try stuff on, they’re influenced by their friends and culture around them. Nico was also vegan for awhile in this same timeframe, and no longer.

This is why I’m a fan of no one-way doors at this age, in most cases. This is all so new, and these kids are all so young.

Who knows, in the future Nico may return to questioning gender. Or maybe not. The important part is that my child knows I’m here, no matter what. 💜
